The new webpage offers support as we stand united to end violence against women and children.

Everyone has the right to live free from domestic and sexual violence. The Cambodian League for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights (LICADHO) is today launching a new webpage offering essential resources to help individuals who are facing such violence seek safety and justice.

The Safety & Justice webpage, launched on the first day of this year’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, provides access to resources like leaflets, audio materials, videos, relevant laws, and service-providers’ contact details to help people navigate their situations. Whether you have experienced violence yourself, are supporting someone else, or simply want to learn more, these resources are here to assist.

Visitors to the Safety & Justice webpage can read or listen to leaflets that share information about domestic and sexual violence. They detail a person’s rights if they have experienced violence, the penalties perpetrators can face, guidance on filing legal complaints, and information on how authorities should respond.

Another resource is a video explainer on Cambodia’s legal process, which shares information about what to expect and how to prepare for each stage of engaging with the courts while seeking justice. A catalogue lists relevant laws that offer protections against violence. Services and further support can be found through the webpage’s contact section.

Domestic and sexual violence are never acceptable, and Cambodian authorities must immediately act on these serious crimes to ensure both safety and justice for all.

Further resources will be added to the Safety & Justice webpage in the coming months. The webpage can be accessed at https://www.licadho-cambodia.org/safety-and-justice/.
