In March 2025, 37 land communities across a dozen provinces came together to celebrate International Women's Day (IWD). Around 3,300 people from land communities, civil society organisations, unions, and the public joined celebrations that included speeches, readings on the history and significance of IWD, and discussions about the current state of women’s rights. In some communities, key messages were displayed on banners, legal consultations were offered and musical performances added to the festive atmosphere.

To mark IWD, LICADHO also provided essential materials and nutritional packages to 62 pregnant women and women human rights defenders being held in 13 prisons across the country.
